Adjustments to Meetings

As we are seeing the COVID-19 numbers climb we are mindful of your health and safety. As a result, due to the number of individuals attending sacrament meeting, it has become necessary to make some adjustments to sacrament meeting attendance guidelines.

Our Ward Council met last week to discuss how we might proceed with the in-person attendance, as the Utah Area Presidency has once again provided guidance to limit the number of individuals in sacrament meeting to 99 people. In prayerfully discussing this matter, we have felt the best course of action is to alternate weeks by last name. The in-person meeting schedule will be as follows:

We will alternate going forward until further notice as follows:

A-K

In-person

L-Z

In person

1/3/2021

1/10/2021

Stake Conference (1/17/2021)

1/24/2021

1/31/2021

2/7/2021

2/14/2021

2/21/2021

The state has mandated that masks be worn if you are attending the meeting in person. Please be sure to wear a mask. We have a few extras we will provide, if needed.

If you are attending the meetings virtually, please go to our Meeting Links page for sacrament meeting and the 2nd hour meetings.

Tithing Settlement

It is that time of year to declare your tithes and offerings to the bishop. If you have not had an opportunity to meet with me regarding tithing settlement, there are open dates and times available.

Prepare Yourself for the Taylorsville Temple

We, as a ward council, have felt we should make it our goal to “Prepare Ourselves for the Taylorsville Temple”. This goal comes with 4 “cornerstones”. These cornerstones consist of:

· Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ
· Caring for Those in Need
· Inviting All to Receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ
· Uniting Families for Eternity
We invite you to watch this video. As you listen to the introduction of each of these corner stones listen carefully to the promptings you receive, and prayerfully consider ways in which you and your family can more fully live each of these corner stones.
We encourage you to write down the promptings you receive as to how you can better live these cornerstones. For that purpose, please see the attached document, that will help you consider ways in which you can prepare yourself and your family for the Taylorsville Temple.
As you do what you can to more fully live these corner stones, you will see that you are preparing for the Taylorsville Temple, becoming more holy and following our Savior.

*** Special thanks to Sister Erin Wright and Sister Jamie Haderlie for graciously sharing their time and talents on the design of the ward goals document and production of the ward goals video.
