Ward Mission

Taylorsville 23rd Ward 2024 Ward Mission Plan

1. Create a holy place in our homes. "As faith and holiness decrease in this fallen world, your need for holy places will increase" (Pres. Russell M. Nelson, April 2021). We all need to create a sacred place in our homes that can be sanctuaries of faith and gospel learning and help us receive inspiration and revelation to help us better share the gospel of Jesus Christ. We can also invite family members who are not currently attending with us to participate in church activities.

2. Minister to our neighbors and friends. One of the two great commandments is to "love thy neighbour as thyself" (Matthew 22:39). We can help bring others to Christ by getting to know our neighbors, being a true friend, and faithfully fulfilling our ministering assignments. As we have the Spirit with us and get to know our friends we can help individuals come to Christ in a normal and natural way. We can invite our friends to participate in church-related activities and to the temple open house.

3. Boldly share our testimonies of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. St. Francis Assisi said, "Preach the gospel at all times, and when necessary, use words." We should be a light to those around us by being worthy of the spirit. Strive to always have the Holy Ghost with you. Listen to the Spirit and tell your friends and family about gospel experiences in a normal and natural way. Share what you learned and don't be afraid to share a witness of truth. Pray for missionary opportunities each day so that you can boldly testify of Jesus Christ.
