First Presidency's Christmas Devotional

The First Presidency's Christmas Devotional will be on Sunday, December 3rd at 6:00 p.m.  Click here for ways to watch it.

Ward Family Christmas Dinner and Devotional

The Ward Christmas Party will be on Saturday, December 9th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.  They are looking for volunteers to bring nativities for a no-touch display in the Elders Quorum/Priesthood room.  They will have them displayed in a walk-through path

Teacher Council Meetings

There will be a Teacher Council Meeting during the 2nd hour for alPriesthood, Relief Society, Young Men and Young Women Teachers.  There will be a separate meeting right after church for the Primary Teachers.  Please be prepared to share teaching experiences and advice with the class and to review Teaching in the Savior's Way.

Gift Cards

If you would like to donate any gift cards for Christmas gifts for families in our ward, please get them to Bishop Cox by Sunday December 10th so that they can be given to the families in need. 

Relief Society

Mary Ellen Strong is still collecting plastic lids that will be used for prosthetics.

Jan Wheeler is collecting clothing, shoes, hats and jackets for youth and adults.  Let her know if you have anything so she can pick them up or arrange a time to drop them off at her home.

Temple and Family History

The next Ward Temple Endowment Night will be on Thursday, December 7th, 6:30 p.m. session.  Please make an appointment if you plan on attending.

The next Ward Night for Sealings will be on Thursday, December 14h at 7:20 p.m.  Let Anthony Cruz know if you plan on attending (702-353-1785).

We will have the opportunity to help clean the Jordan River Temple in December.  We need 26 temple recommend holders to help on Friday, December 15th from 10:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.  Please let Brother Feil (801-209-0171) or Sister Lyman (801-856-2359) know if you want to help clean the temple.

Tuesday, November 28th will be 10 am initiatory for Sisters Temple Day. Colleen has reserved a spot for 1 more sister.  Those that wish to carpool will be picked up around 9:15 am. Some of the sisters will be going to lunch afterward. Let Colleen Norris know if you plan on attending (801-455-8794).

Hats, Scarfs, Blankets - Crochet/knitting patterns are available. Donations go to the Road Home Shelter for Families.
Lap-gans 40" X 55" - Lap blankets for wheelchair bound folks at the rest home on 6200 South Redwood Road. 
Any good used blankets, hats and scarfs will also help and be donated.

Contact one of the Relief Society Presidency for yarn, patterns, flannel material, and hat looms.  A donation box will be in the Relief Society room.  Thank you for your love and tender care of those in need.

Youth Food Drive

Our youth will be holding a Food Drive on Wednesday, November 8th for the Taylorsville Food Pantry. If you would like to participate, please leave non-perishable donations on your front porch before 6 pm.

We will have the opportunity to help clean the Jordan River Temple each night starting on Monday, December 11th through Thursday, December 14th from 10:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. each evening.  We need 3 temple recommend holders to help each of the four nights for a total of 12 people. On Friday, December 15th we need a total of 26 temple recommend holders. Please let Brother Feil (801-209-0171) or Sister Lyman (801-856-2359) know if you want to help clean the temple especially on Friday.
