Relief Society

The lesson this week will be from Promptings of the Spirit by Elder Gary E. Stevenson.  

Starting in February Sisters' Temple Day will be the third Tuesday of  each month. This will be sometime in the morning or early afternoon. We will be coordinating the time based on the sister temple workers in our ward. We will be doing Endowments for the first part of year. 

Currently we have Feb. 20th 10:30 am Endowment reserved but that may change after the sister temple workers get their schedules for Feb-Mar.

The Women's Domestic Violence Shelter is in need of clothes or blankets or sheets or towels or anything that could be used by women and children leaving violent domestic situations, including women's and children's clothing.  Contact Michelle Peacock for more information.

Mary Ellen Strong is still collecting plastic lids that will be used for prosthetics.
Jan Wheeler is collecting clothing, shoes, hats and jackets for youth and adults.  Let her know if you have anything so she can pick them up or arrange a time to drop them off at her home.

Youth Devotional

There will be a Youth Devotional on Sunday, January 28th at 6:00 p.m. at the Stake Center.

Self Reliance Classes

Self Reliance classes will be starting in March.  There will be classes on Personal Finance, Finding a Job, and Emotional Resiliency.  Sign up sheets will be passed around during the 2nd hour meetings.  There will be a Self Reliance Devotional held on Sunday, February 25th at 6:00 p.m. at the Stake Center.

Taylorsville Temple Open House

The open house for the Taylorsville Temple will be held from April 13th through May 18th.  The temple will be dedicated on June 2, 2024.  

Stake Women's Conference

The Stake Women's Conference will be on Saturday, March 16th at 10:00 a.m. at the Stake Center.

Temple and Family History

The next Ward Temple Endowment Night will be on Thursday, February 1st, 6:30 p.m. session.  Please make an appointment if you plan on attending.

The next Ward Night for Sealings will be on Thursday, February 8th at 7:20 p.m.  Let Anthony Cruz know if you plan on attending (702-353-1785).

Ward Choir Practice

Ward Choir practice will be held on Sundays at 12:30 p.m. after church on the stage except for fast Sundays.  They will be practicing for the Easter program.

The Primary children will be singing the prelude for Stake Conference.  Please have your children there by 9:50 a.m.  They will be singing "I Will Walk with Jesus."

We will not have a Sisters' Temple day in January, but starting in we will be going on the third Tuesday of each month. This will be sometime in the morning. We will mostly be focused on doing Endowments.

Welfare Assignments

On Wednesday January 10, 2024, we need 3 people from 2:00-5:30 p.m. at Welfare Square.

Please call or text Brother Feil at 801-209-0171 and let him know if you can help fulfill these two assignments.  Welfare Square Cannery is located at 780 West 800 South in Salt Lake City, Utah.  The cannery is the first building on your right as you enter the parking lot off of 800 South.

Temple and Family History
