RELIEF SOCIETY

Our Relief Society activities this month will be held on Tuesday, January 10th @ 7:00 p.m. (mystery game) and Wednesday, January 11th @ 10;00 a.m. (service project). 

Jan Wheeler is collecting clothing and shoes for an adolescent center in Salt Lake. They need clothing and shoes for youth ages 12-18, all sizes. You may drop off items any time at her garage door or put them in the box provided by the RS room at the church.

Mary Ellen Strong is still collecting plastic lids that will be used for prosthetics.

We will be having a Sister's Temple Day on Wednesday January 25th

The Ice Cream activity is for any sister that would like to come. If you can't attend the temple, but have names for Initiatory please bring them to Leatherby's or share them with Colleen Norris. If you have any questions you can text her at 801-455-8794.

The Ward Night for Sealings will be on Thursday, January 12th at 7:20 p.m.

Meals for missionaries

"The guidelines for member meals with the missionaries are: Monday through Friday it is encouraged but not required that non members or less active members be present, That way it is more of a finding opportunity for the missionaries.  Saturday and Sunday there are no restrictions.  Same with lunches, there are no rules any day of the week."

Hopefully the members will take more opportunities to invite the missionaries to their home for a meal.  The missionaries can be contacted at church or by phone or text.  Their number is: 801-755-9390.

Starting on January 22nd, Ward Choir practice will be held on Sundays at 11:00 after church on the stage except for fast Sundays.  They will be practicing for the Easter program.

If you want to make donations for families in our ward who have needs for Christmas, please do so by purchasing gift cards from such places like Target, Walmart or other stores where the gift cards will allow the families who receive them to buy a variety of items that they need for their family members.

 

Please purchase these gift cards in smaller dollar amounts such as if you want to donate a $100, buy four $25 cards instead of one $100 card. Please give these cards to the Bishop or his counselors. They would like to have them by Saturday, December 10th so the Bishop can get them to the families who need them in time for them to go shopping.
