Ward Mission Message

I don't know about you, but I am not like Ammon, or Alma, or most of the great missionaries that we read about in the scriptures. I am reserved. I am a people watcher. I like to have a genuine relationship with someone before I share the Gospel with them. So sometimes the 'obvious ways' of sharing the Gospel intimidate me.

To help me with this, I found a fun quiz on the Church's website that helps people find out their sharing style. There is a series of questions that you answer (similar to a personality quiz- no personal information is needed). Then it gives suggestions on how to share the Gospel based on that style. I am happy to report that the suggestions provided are not intimidating at all!

There is not one cookie-cutter way to share the Gospel. We are all different with various strengths. Try out the quiz for yourself to find new ideas on how you can love, share, and invite, just like the Savior:

Jesus Christ loves us all no matter our condition or situation. He wants us to find Joy. John 15:11 reads "These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full." We find this Joy through Jesus Christ. By keeping his commandments, and loving one another we will find that Joy and be closer to Christ. -Brother Clayton Cox

Ward Mission Message

Blessings come from accepting the call that God has given each of us to be missionaries.  Some promises to the power and strength people will receive as they share the gospel are found in the Doctrine and Covenants.  Here a just a few from our recent Come Follow me Sections

·       The Lord will stand by you (68:6)

·       No weapon formed against you shall prosper (71:9)

·       Your sins will be forgiven (62:3)

·       He will send upon you the comforter, which shall teach you the truth and the way whither you shall go (79:2)

If we remember these blessings we will all be stronger missionaries to gather Israel.

Ward Mission Message

Although it is important to share the gospel with others, not everyone will accept what you have to say.  Show friendship, love, and respect to all people, regardless of how they respond to your testimony or invitations. As you live the gospel faithfully,  you will set an example and show your family members and friends the great blessings that come from living the gospel and serving God.  Bro. Major
