WARD BUSINESS

Brothers and Sisters,

It is that time of the year again to begin the declaration of your tithes. I would like to invite you to meet with me to declare your tithing status and make sure your contribution records are accurate. We are beginning to hold these tithing declaration meetings tomorrow (September 1, 2024) and will continue to hold these meetings through the fall. Please go to the following website to sign up for a meeting with me: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0A4CAAAF2FA2F8CE9-51013148-tithing#/

Please remember that this is for you as a family (including young children) to attend together, if possible. It is an opportunity to teach your children of the importance of tithing and perhaps an opportunity to strengthen the faith of each individual in your family. If you have any questions, please let me know.

The General Handbook says, “Tithes are holy to the Lord, and members honor Him by paying tithing. This is an expression of faith in God and His promises. Those who pay tithing receive this promise from the Lord: ‘Prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it’ (Malachi 3:10).”

I look forward to meeting with each of you to discuss this important expression of faith.

Sincerely,

Bishop Kory Cox

WARD MISSION MESSAGE

Trust the Lord to work his miracles. Understand that it’s not your job to convert people. That is the role of the Holy Ghost. Your role is to share what is in your heart and live consistent with your beliefs. ( Quote from Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf) May we truly seek to be genuine and friendly with those we come in contact with. To let our light shine by living the way that our Savior would be please with you.

TEMPLE AND FAMILY HISTORY

My dear brothers and sister, these are the latter days.  If you and I are to withstand the forthcoming perils and pressure, it is imperative that we each have a firm spiritual foundation built upon the rock of our Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

The temple lies at the center of strengthening our faith and spiritual fortitude because the Savior and His doctrine are the very heart of the temple.
