WARD BUSINESS:
Brothers and Sisters,
It is that time of the year again to begin the declaration of your tithes. I would like to invite you to meet with me to declare your tithing status and make sure your contribution records are accurate. We are beginning to hold these tithing declaration meetings tomorrow (September 1, 2024) and will continue to hold these meetings through the fall. Please go to the following website to sign up for a meeting with me: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0A4CAAAF2FA2F8CE9-51013148-tithing#/
Please remember that this is for you as a family (including young children) to attend together, if possible. It is an opportunity to teach your children of the importance of tithing and perhaps an opportunity to strengthen the faith of each individual in your family. If you have any questions, please let me know.
The General Handbook says, “Tithes are holy to the Lord, and members honor Him by paying tithing. This is an expression of faith in God and His promises. Those who pay tithing receive this promise from the Lord: ‘Prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it’ (Malachi 3:10).”
I look forward to meeting with each of you to discuss this important expression of faith.
Sincerely,
Bishop Kory Cox
UPCOMING WARD ACTIVITIES:
UPCOMING STAKE ACTIVITIES:
MEETING SCHEDULE:
- October 13 - Conference Talk TBA from upcoming conference
RELIEF SOCIETY:
Some Church members opinions are that emergency plans and supplies, food storage, and 72-hour kits must not be important anymore because the Brethren have not spoken recently and extensively about these and related topics in general conference. But repeated admonitions to prepare have been proclaimed by leaders of the Church for decades. The consistency of prophetic counsel over time creates a powerful concert of clarity and a warning volume far louder than solo performances can ever produce.

WARD MISSION MESSAGE:
The people began to forget those signs and wonders which they had heard, and began to be less and less astonished at a sign or a wonder from heaven. 3 Nephi 2:1. It might be time to remind people of all that Christ has done for us.

WARD CHOIR PRACTICE: TBa
TEMPLE AND FAMILY HISTORY:
"My dear sisters, we have so much to look forward to! The Lord placed you here now because He knew you had the capacity to negotiate the complexities of the latter part of these latter days. He knew you would grasp the grandeur of His work and be eager to help bring it to pass."
