The Area Presidency has asked that we encourage our members to invite 25 people who would not normally come to our meetings to join us. These could be less-active members or individuals who are not of our faith. It will be a day of invitation, in which we gather to celebrate the Savior.

WARD BUSINESS:

Brothers and Sisters,

It is that time of the year again to begin the declaration of your tithes. I would like to invite you to meet with me to declare your tithing status and make sure your contribution records are accurate. We will continue to hold these meetings through the fall. Please go to the following website to sign up for a meeting with me:

https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0A4CAAAF2FA2F8CE9-52933993-tithing

Please remember that this is for you as a family (including young children) to attend together, if possible. It is an opportunity to teach your children of the importance of tithing and perhaps an opportunity to strengthen the faith of each individual in your family. If you have any questions, please let me know.

The General Handbook says, “Tithes are holy to the Lord, and members honor Him by paying tithing. This is an expression of faith in God and His promises. Those who pay tithing receive this promise from the Lord: ‘Prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it’ (Malachi 3:10).”

I look forward to meeting with each of you to discuss this important expression of faith.

Sincerely,

Bishop Kory Cox

December 23-29: Christmas

ELDERS QUORUM:

WARD MISSION MESSAGE:

“On this Christmas I send my love to every man or woman in the military, every student, and every employee and traveler who won’t be home for Christmas as the carol says. Keep your faith. Look for good in your situation. Do something kind for someone. Seek Christ devoid of wrapping and tinsel. You will find that despite external circumstances, Christmas - like the kingdom of God - is  within you."
-President Holland
At this time of the year there will be many of mankind that won’t be with home with family they love or be going through trials this Christmas that we don’t know about. Let us be grateful for the gospel of Christ  that we have in our life and the loved ones that we will be with during the holidays . Remember to share this love of Christ that we have been given as members of the church and to share this love and kindness with whoever we meet this season because we truly don’t know what they are dealing within their life.  Merry Christmas to Everyone!     "At this joyful time of year, we are grateful to celebrate with you the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Although He was born in humble circumstances, He is the central figure in all human history. His mission affects all who have lived and will yet live. Through His Atonement and Resurrection, He did what we could not do for ourselves: overcome death and be reconciled to our Heavenly Father.

We testify that He is the Son of the Eternal Father, who “so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). We share our witness and knowledge of this most important gift and invite you to do the same this Christmas season."
