Self-Reliance Classes 

Self-Reliance classes will be starting in September.  Possible classes will include: Personal Finances, Finding a Better Job, and Emotional Resilience.

The Stake needs to know which classes you would be interested in attending so that they can get teachers for those classes.  If you have any questions, contact Jay Jorgensen at 801-450-1988.

National Day of Service/Food Drive - Saturday, September 9th 

There are three ward events in connection with the National Day of Service: a Food Drive, a Yard Project for the DeWeese Family, and Deep Cleaning the Ward Kitchen.  Use this link to sign up for the Yard Project or Deep Cleaning the Kitchen.  Please have your food out by 9:00 a.m. for the food drive.

Relief Society

This Sunday's lesson will be from Christlike Poise by Elder Mark A. Bragg.

On Sunday, September 10th from 3:00-5:00 p.m., there will be another Munch, Mingle & Minister Activity.

On Thursday, September 12th at 7:00 p.m., the Relief Society will be combine with the Elder's Quorum for an Emergency Preparedness workshop.




There will be two opportunities to go to the Temple as sisters this month:
We will be doing a 1:00 pm Endowment Session on Tuesday, September 19th and a 3:00 p.m. Initiatory on Wednesday, September 27th.  If you want to come, please schedule an appointment either on FamilySearch or the Church Website.  

On Thursday, September 21st from 7:00-8:30 p.m., there will be an Instructional Senior Care Class.



Mary Ellen Strong is still collecting plastic lids that will be used for prosthetics.

Temple and Family History

The next Ward Night for Sealings will be on Thursday, September14th at 7:20 p.m.  Let Anthony Cruz know if you plan on attending (702-353-1785).

Blood Drive

There will be a Stake Blood Drive on September 14th from 12:00-6:00 p.m. at the ward house, 4932 South 3200 West.  Sign up sheets will be around during classes and also posted outside the Bishop's office. 
 

Tithing Declaration


Here is the link to sign up for Tithing Declaration for this year.  There will be appointments available from 2:15-3:45 every Sunday in September.

Future Ward Activities

Please mark your calendars and join us for the following future activities hosted by the Ward Activity Committee:

Trunk-r-treat - Saturday, October 28th, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Christmas Party - Saturday, December 9th, 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Ward Choir Practice

Ward Choir practice will be held on Sundays at 11:00 after church on the stage except for fast Sundays.  

Building Cleaning Assignments

Here are the upcoming assignments for cleaning our building.  Please trade with another ward member if you have a conflict on your assigned date.  Contact Brother Elzinga if you have any questions.  Plan on 9:00 a.m. on Saturday unless told otherwise by your Team Leader.
