Announcements

Relief Society

This week's lesson will be taught by Mary Ellen Strong, "Becoming More in Christ: The Parable of the Slope" by Ulisses Soares.

We will not be having a Relief Society activity this month. Stay tuned for January!

Our Sister Missionaries can go to members homes any night of the week and share a Christmas message! Give them a call or text at 801-755-9390 to schedule a visit!

Please check on your ministering sisters to make sure they're okay for the holidays, and wish them a very, Merry Christmas!

We will be providing cookies to the Taylorsville Temple Workers, as a thank-you, on two different days in January. They need 2 cookies per Ziploc bag (or pre-packaged) with a simple note of thanks attached to the outside of the bag. Please bring cookies to Lee Steven's house on Jan 3rd, and Jan 17th from 4:00-6:00 pm.

Temple & Family History Activity

Tuesday, December 14th @ 7:00 p.m. is the Temple & Family History meeting on Zoom.

Ward Choir Practice

Everyone is welcome to our ward choir practice. It will be held every Sunday right after church at 11 to 11:45 in the relief society room. We are currently preparing to sing Silent Night in Sacrament Meeting on December 26.

Ward Temple Days

The first Tuesday of every month for Endowments (10:00 am & 7:00 pm)
**If you haven't already scheduled for Jan 4 in the evening, then car pool with some friends in the Ward and head to Bountiful - they currently have 52 seats for the 7pm session!

The third Tuesday of every month for Sealings (10:00 am & 7:20 pm). When signing up for Sealings, one person signs up for a group of 8 (four males & four females), so invite some members to join you!

Tithing Settlement

As faithful members of the Church of Jesus Christ, we are asked to obey the law of tithing. The law of tithing is simply stated as one-tenth of all of our income. When faithfully practiced, the law provides us with innumerable blessings and promises. We receive both spiritual and temporal blessings.

Malachi shares the promise of the Lord. "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

"And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts" (Malachi 3:10-11).

President James E. Faust said, “One of the great blessings the people of this Church have is to meet with the bishop once each year, settle their tithing, and report that what they had paid in contributions constitutes a tithe."

If you need to meet with Bishop for Tithing Settlement please contact Brother Ken Stevens.
