Vandalism 

Bishop Cox is asking everyone to look out for any suspicious activity in our area and to report any vandalism, etc. by calling the dispatch for the Taylorsville Police Department at 801-840-4000

Relief Society

Our next activity is Tuesday, October 10th at 7:00 p.m. -  "Fun Facts About Temples."

The Relief Society has some service projects that you can help with.

Hats, Scarfs, Blankets - Crochet/knitting patterns are available. Donations go to the Road Home Shelter for Families.
Lap-gans 40" X 55" - Lap blankets for wheelchair bound folks at the rest home on 6200 South Redwood Road. 
Any good used blankets, hats and scarfs will also help and be donated.

Contact one of the Relief Society Presidency for yarn, patterns, flannel material, and hat looms.  A donation box will be in the Relief Society room.  Thank you for your love and tender care of those in need.

Mary Ellen Strong is still collecting plastic lids that will be used for prosthetics.

Temple and Family History

The next Ward Temple Endowment Night will be on Thursday, October 5th, 6:30 p.m. session.  Please make an appointment if you plan on attending.

The next Ward Night for Sealings will be on Thursday, October 12h at 7:20 p.m.  Let Anthony Cruz know if you plan on attending (702-353-1785).

Self-Reliance Classes 

Self-Reliance classes will be starting in September.  Possible classes will include: Personal Finances, Finding a Better Job, and Emotional Resilience.

The Stake needs to know which classes you would be interested in attending so that they can get teachers for those classes.  If you have any questions, contact Jay Jorgensen at 801-450-1988.

National Day of Service/Food Drive - Saturday, September 9th 

There are three ward events in connection with the National Day of Service: a Food Drive, a Yard Project for the DeWeese Family, and Deep Cleaning the Ward Kitchen.  Use this link to sign up for the Yard Project or Deep Cleaning the Kitchen.  Please have your food out by 9:00 a.m. for the food drive.

Relief Society

This Sunday's lesson will be from Christlike Poise by Elder Mark A. Bragg.

On Sunday, September 10th from 3:00-5:00 p.m., there will be another Munch, Mingle & Minister Activity.

On Thursday, September 12th at 7:00 p.m., the Relief Society will be combine with the Elder's Quorum for an Emergency Preparedness workshop.

Relief Society

Sept. 9th  is National Day of Service. The RS will be cleaning the kitchen and having a food drive for our day of service.  Please meet at the church at 9:00 a.m. to help clean the kitchen, and bring some food to donate to the food drive!  The food drive will go from 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.  Any service you can give will be appreciated!

Sisters that have volunteered to deliver flyers for the food drive please have them at the houses on your map between September 4-7th.

Sept. 10th we will be hosting another Munch and Mingle 3-5 pm for those sisters that were unable to come to the last one.
